pretty much agree with all of the above.

Even if we stay up we will probably need to off load Clingan to fund a rebuild.
Hopefully Tom A. and Spillane will come through and challenge for a midfield role.

I think Gunn sees Spillane as a super squad player who can fill in a number of roles.
The perfect bench player.

Hoolahan is a f**king nightmare, obviously talented but you allmost have to adjust your team around him.
Seems to blow hot and cold.
I dont think we have missed him at all but we have missed having a player like Alan Lee.
Seems like a good deal to me.

Presonally I would rather go for more size and a solid "hard to beat" type team.

Very few teams have great defences at this level so scoring isnt a huge problem.
Stopping the opposition from scoring is a higher priority.
Starting from a base of being"difficult to beat" is important.
The club is really looking to trim the wage bill so It would not suprise me to see us get rid of the following.
Fozzy, Cureton, Clingan, Croft, Pattison, Eagles.

I would think those players are some of the highest wage earners at the club.
