I am not pro worthy, at all...

But a majority of his signings were succesful, the good ones out weighed the bad ones, by far.. the earnshaw thing you could only assume he felt he had enough to provide him the goals to achieve his goal.. or maybe he was try to pleas the fans by siging a top striker to replace the one going out... or maybe he though he'd get a larger chunk on top of the 3.5m he spent from the ashton money to improve the other areas?
