The board did not panic with Worthy but actually gave him too long.

PG and GR both did for themselves to a certain degree. Again not simple 'panic'.

I agree that the decision to sack GR may have been motivated by seasons ticket fears but GR put himself in the vulnerable position. I think that the board and fans would have given him more time if he hadn't been such a plonker.

The other thing is that since when have the board 'got away with it'. Many fans do blame them and the division this creates is part of the current problem that we have,
