They are the same board that wouldn't stump up 2m for crouch, and allowed southampton to, who then nearly stayed up with him, and sold him on for ?7m

The only time we did splash out was when the Watling money helped fund Ashton (but surely in a promotion worth about 30m over 3 years, why did it take an outside event to fund a transfer?)

We don't hang onto players long enough, the great loans feel like our players and then go back

Each pre season follows the same path it seems, and there's never any stability in the slightest
