good for you!
i have similar personal reasons for actually joining up - mainly due to the influence respect and love for my late father, who was my hero when i was a little boy. He won 9 medlas in various campaigns and he was my inspiration to join up. Its not everyone whos cut out to join so dont beat yourself up about it. Better to have good feelings emotions over the forces rather than to join for the wrong reasons, then end up resenting it and the service you joined.
you done the right thing mate!
