Both of those are board errors in inserting those release clauses. You could argue they wouldn't have signed for us if they weren't there, but then we should have looked for someone who did want to play for us

Grant lost those two players of whom he wanted to stay, and given the fact that the last manager couldn't sign a decent right back, and Grant had been playing Hughes there, he need to get an adequate one in, replace two decent centre midfielders (safri and etuhu) and replace a decent striker

He didn't do so with what was available and was sacked

The next guy brought in didn't get much at all cos there were no sales this time, yet on here the last few weeks, you'd have thought he got the world in the slagging off of agent fees
