Well my original point was
that the board are brilliant at overseeing the selling side but not the quality control side.
I would like to see evidence that the governance of the football side has improved, the academy does seem to now be functioning a bit better but I am not convinced that scounting and player recruitment work well at the moment. Killen? FFS! Whilst the manager should have some autonomy in these areas he should be held to account and they should be overseeing the overall systems. Perhaps the lack of football knowledge on the board is a problem.
I would also like to see better communication from the board. There is a bit of poison at the club at the moment and that is partly because of what I have been writing about. People feeling shortchanged and expecting success. I think the club's communication around some key issues has been very poor and contributed to the loss of trust.
Ultimately I don't think that the club can move forward until all parts of it are united and in some ways having high levels of STs prevents this.
