But I just don't believe it and can't think of any hard facts to back up your view (other than the league position, but then the teams around us don't have high season ticket numbers and it seems to make no difference to the playing side)

If we had lower season tickets, we'd have less money, be able to buy fewer players, be able to pay lower wages and would have even worse players at the club. The "moving forward quicker" you talk about is also something without substance. What is it you want the board to be doing that they aren't currently doing (other than finding investment that could potentially be non existent anyway)
