3 reasons

1. To me it suggests that the club has spent too much focus on marketing and selling the product than the actual quality of what they are delivering.

2. The atmosphere at CR has been generally poor for the last three years. Peversely I actually think that this in part is due to the larger crowds because

- Those larger crowds consist of many people who are relatively recent suppporters and expect instant success

- The big crowds give rise to a general 'we are a big club' mentality which also breeds high expectations. I think it is difficult to regroup and rebuild with such expectations

3) The large crowds help the cashflow and breed complaceny with the board, perhaps preventing more fundamental change at the club
