They are great at 'selling' bit and at many aspects of the experience apart from delivering the core 'product' the actuall football!
A club that is struggling by rights would lose a fair proportion of its fan base and would be left with those that accept they are rubbish but live in hope and support. A la Southampton, Charlton etc
