We can argue all night about the extent to which the board are culpable, as many have been doing. Is it their incompetance or more 'structural factors' to do with the rise of McFootball and SKY?

The fact is whichever side you take the trust has broken down, and that is a serious part of the problem.

With regards to Earnshaw. I don't see why he is a failure with 27 goals in 41 games. We could have done with him this year instead of Jamie

And don't waffle on about a release clause which is pretty standard in football and without which I doubt he would have signed....
