I'm not sure Hoolihan is ideally suited to a left-wing role, not just because of the lack of tracking back, but also because he's at his best, I think, when he's allowed to drift about a bit and cause havoc on the right and in the middle, as well as the left - he's been successful doing that soft of thing playing between the midfield and a more advanced forward player.
