Remember it well
At about 5-1 it went from depressing to ridculous and our end started doing the conga and generally having a party. I think we thought we'd blown the top of the league thing so we might as well have a bit of a party. Spoke to a Blackburn fan a few days later who was surprised at how jolly we were and how we'd outsung them. Similar thing happened the same season at Spurs where we lost 5-1 (Ekoku scored) and it sunk in that we definitely wouldn't win the league but who cared cos we'd punched above our weight and had a fantastic time doing it.
Remember hearing Baker on the way back from the game and swaering at the radio - but it the game was quite funny really - unlike a few season later at WBA and Port Vale when we lost 6-1 and 5-1 (at both of those as well!) which were depressing affairs.
