Zonealarm are nothing to do with Windows Firewall
The Windows thing is better than nothing, but not by a whole lot.
I was having a problem where Zonealarm cocks up the way it handles Firefox, so for no apparent reason it suddenly won't let you load any pages even though the internet works fine for everything else. You can close the program, but it doesn't actually terminate so you can't restart it without restarting your machine. End Process won't work either. Arse-gnawingly frustrating!
Having gone for something else, starting up Windoze seems much quicker now.
There seems to be an awful lot of b***hing about iPlayer killing Firefox. Possibly related to extensions, but I don't know a whole lot about it.
