I think it is pretty random myself

Big Sam - does brilliantly wherever he's been, takes over Newcastle and is a failure (well, according to them) and now at BB is great again.

There are so many factors out of a managers hands. It's not like they are playing and can be judged on their performance. Money, injuries, form, players falling out, poor decisions. All it takes is 3 weeks of bad luck and you are looking at a crowd revolt.

I'm not convinced even MON would be a guaranteed success here.
