So why didnt Sven say that?

Instead of totally ignoring the question.

I'd have prefered him to say something along the lines of..

"Ashton is a great talent, i've had my eye on him for a number of weeks, i just feel he needs a few more games in the premiership, if he keeps scoring i've no doubt he'll get a chance in the future"

Now that would have been a f**king boost for him before Sunday, not just being totally ignored when asked a question about him.
