if you play to your strikers' strengths (like we did in the 2nd half yeaterday, but dismally failed to do in the first half) a target man isn't obligatory. We started to get the ball to Cureton, Hoolahan and Lupoli early, and scored 3 goals in that way. A target man gives the midfield an easy option and can stifle real creativity - we often saw that with Iwan.
And I'm glad Chris Brown wasn't playing yesterday - he was useless. Tried hard, but failed.
