none of their families had anything to do with it, and i'm sure his pay off will be really heartbreaking. and if he wanted the fans to have a bit of respect for him, he shouldn't have treated them like c**ts. as i said earlier, saddam hussein didn't have a great childhood, but i don't see a load of bollocks sympathy for him. the family troubles should be kept private and not used as a tool to try to make others feel guilty.
