Final ball and passing in general tragic, awful, inept, useless any other adjectives to describe our woeful inability in midfield to create something. If Worthy can't see it now, i'll give up.
I actually thought Hughes had a decent game today, great assist but at times was so frustrating, is very quick to jump into the tackle and passing was sloppy. Safri, was tidy but didn't see much of him going forward but he holds our midfield. Which brings me onto Jarrett, not totally his fault but him and Hughes will not work ever. Neither look comfortable on the ball or knew what their role was. Last ten minutes were frankly shocking in terms of passing.
As for Marney, another ok game, won't see the best of him until the midfield gives him some support. Huckerby was pretty average too, looks to have lost some pace and trickery and his crossing never found the mark. Of anyone though, he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
McKenzie was quiet, good hassling and Ashton bar two moments of brilliance was ordinary.
Ordinary seems to be the running theme, we're waiting for some inspiration and it's got to come from the midfield just get a sinking feeling we could be waiting some time.
On defence, bar the shocking goal we gave away much much better. Colin was good if overly hesitant on not going forward too much.
Overall, ok but lots of areas we could have improved, thought Palace looked pretty slick.
Best moment in the game the Barclay's 'let's all do a Johnson'.
Worst moment, Palace fans copying (sigh) and their goal.
Don't hold much hope for next week, really need a win fast, 3 points wasn;t what we were expecting.
