1 - why call a cease fire in iraq when its clear the allies were winning the planned invasion - its the defeated army that calls a cease fire to its own troops on surrender.

2 - blair, however much misguided by bush, "thought" * that his invasion was based on finding WMD... so there was at least "a goal to achieve" - in the israely/hamas conflict both sides are just firing rockets at each other with intent to kill - the movement of israely tanks is to get at the arab rockets.

*"thought" - or "all out lie" - you choose!
