'little person' sounds like it's taking the piss, but most Americans prefer it to midget, dwarf, short-arse or tiny bloke.

The fact that he played a guy called 'mini-me' suggests that he doesn't give a s**t personally, but a lot of other squirts would be up in arms if the beeb sed the wrong word, so they just avoided all the hassle. Can't see them doing that for the whole series though.
