someone who is s**t at their job is not given ?500,000 to go away. In other walks of life you generally have targets, performance management etc and if you're no good you get your cards. That is the way Fitton got rid of Malpas.
If we really have these 94 high-calibre applicants every time we advertise the job then I'd appoint the one that agreed to have targets.
