...I agree about the process of the game - it's pointless IMHO - but from that, if they were to then to decide to have a go at a proper instrument then bloody good luck to them...I bet it would be a bit of a surprise though...

Thinking about it though, both involve following instructions and practicing and probably getting frustrated along the way...however, once you've mastered a particular lick or phrase etc on a real instrument you have the freedom to explore which is where a computer game can't take you and ultimately why it'll always lose out...
