A few months ago when I'd been given some unexpected praise at work I came on here and shared the groove - and i don't know if he ever read it so I'll say it again.

My favourite wrather award goes to Megson.

Never met you Meggs, probably never will.

What a lovely bloke he seems to be: unassuming and self-effacing, decent, honest, given to the occasional entertaining rant.

Meggs: if I ever get a season ticket, I hope I end up sat next to you. With Kate Beckinsale on the other side.
