Fash

My second favourite Fash moment came at Old Trafford in a 1-0 defeat. You're going to have to know of or at least have seen the large bruiser Gordon McQueen if this is going to amuse you.....

Anyway: the best thing about Fash was he'd call for the ball even when closely marked, and McQueen spent the whole game leaning all over him because of it. One time the ball came to them in the centre circle and Fash got to it first, and brought it under control. He held it and looked to give it but couldn't gain his balance as McQueen leant into him and started pulling and shoving. Fash turned to his right, and was pulled. He turned to his left instead and was pulled again.

So, still shielding the ball, he reached behind GM's back, picked him up with one arm, turned, put him down, and then played the pass.

The ref gave a free kick to Manyoo and the United fans around us went absolutely spare.

Marvellous.
