Well....your income is based on what league you're in.....

And without him, you'd substantially downgrade our chances for staying up.

So, i'd say it was pretty poor business sense to not take an opportunity to add an asset that post signing will be worth considerably more than ?500k for ?500k if that helps acquire the asset.
