when you consider the business costs it makes sense

i think it was UPS that realised last year that if they reconfigured all their considerable road fleets satnavs in the US to maximise use of the ability to turn "right on a red traffic light" then they could save the company 80 million bucks a year in drivers hours/fuel costs (also there were huge hidden cost savings as well). wish they'd do the same in the UK (but turn left, if clear, obviously)
