Lita spent most of the evening racing out to the edge of the box to cross the ball in, only to find that none of the midfielders were in the area to get on the end of it. That should be have been Russell's job and he wasn't doing it.
Bell and Croft spent a lot of the evening crossing to no-one, too, as a consequence - and when Lita was in the box for crosses, he had no support. So why Roeder didn't take off Russell and bring on Lupoli, and get Lupoli to do the running to make space for Lita, is anyone's guess.
