"This is the very first programme shown by Anglia Television, at 4.15pm on Tuesday 27th October 1959.

It's intended to whet your appetite about the thrilling programmes Anglia will be bringing you, such as Farming Diary and Small Time. It includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the studios in Norwich, complete with amusingly-staged "natural conversations" between colleagues as they work on programmes, and lots of aerial footage of 1959 East Anglia and the Mendlesham transmitter, the tallest in Europe at that time. It was a live programme with numerous pre-recorded inserts, and there's at least one mistimed cue where a film insert crashes in far too early."
