I spose it's a signal

"If Buzz lifts it miles above his head then Belly's going to hit it fast and flat to the near post; if Buzz bends down and pats the ball then Belly's going to chip it" etc etc

Why the heck it need Buzz to stand there and act as director of communications I can't imagine. What's wrong with Bell lfiting one arm or the other, or holding up set numbers of fingers or whatever?
