Tricky re aspergers

The most important thing is to find a school that suits your son (? assume it's a son as there are a lot more boys on the spectrum). The staff need to have an understanding as children on the spectrum can be very different. I have taught several children with aspergers or autism and found it necessary to find what the child is into. One had a fixation on time and how many minutes to ..., another wanted to draw all the time. A third was hooked on electricity pylons - if he completed his work he could have a picture of a pylon or go on the computer and look at pictures of pylons.
