I've tried a little, but got so far and got stuck

Then I've had a mate come round, get as far as I did, then try something else (which I hadn't a clue what he was doing), that didn't work, then tried something else, then tried something else, then it just worked

In that situation I just think "erm, don't ever try this yourself again sam, step away from the screwdriver"
