Sheff Utd have announced a stonking loss and big drop in turnover (no surprises there).

They have, however, reduced footballing debt by ?7.2 million.

Which is all very well, but if they had spent ?2 million of that debt repayment on the pitch then would they have bridged the 4-point gap between them and the Play Offs last season?

None of us know the answer, but I can guarantee that if City had announced similar figures then many fans would have questioned the club's priorities.

Ahh, gotta love those circular debates...
