and had some half-wit member of the public phone in to have his say

blamed all Britain's current financial woes on Harold Wilson not backing the aerospace industry 40-odd years ago (as that's all before my time i didn't really know what he was blathering about) and was talking about all those continentals from the EEC coming over here and nicking 'our' jobs (despite Wilson getting rid of them all...) and how "if Hitler was alive today, he'd be laughing at us"

pants would've loved it.

after the host finally cut him off he went on a bit about how it's a personal tragedy that so many people are losing their jobs today (meantioned Woolies and MFI too) and then followed that immediately with "Have a Nice Day" by the Stereophonics
