if 'black' isn't offensive, then why use it? What's it got to do with anything if a player is black or white or beige?

the implication in 'you fat bastard' is that the player is too fat to run fast or to kick a ball. with rooney, i think there was also a degree of irony involved. At the least the insinuation is they are a greedy, self-centred, lazy person (even if they are very good at football).

And i've got no idea why a person who prefers same-sex sodomy might not run as fast as a heterosexual.
