I think the players he's attracted on loan, on paper, look decent though

and back up his argument that he can get better players on loan than he can permanently, especially on his budget. Certainly Lupoli, Kennedy, Lita and Sibierski particularly excited me. He just isn't getting the best out of them as far as I can tell - particularly surprising with Sibbo as he looked decent in Roeder's Newcastle team.

I know what you mean about the arrogance - that's definitely a concern - given our financial position, we're more reliant than most on keeping the fans sweet, and responding to a perfectly reasonable question about the structure of the team with "I'm sorry, I missed your tenure as England manager" is completely unnecessary and not very wise.
