play four teams on the same pitch

one goal on each side of the pitch. leave the balls in the goals and count them up at the end. Team with fewest balls in their nets gets the three points.

reducing the number of games per season by 3/4 will allow more time for interesting things like protesting and arguing about pie-fillings
