mine was simply that the bar owner got his mates - including you, at a guess? - to spread the word that it would be the main game.

Therefore there was lots of cash for the bar, when loads of Norwich fans turned up to watch it.

But they didn't follow through and do what they'd announced they would.

(By the way - they didn't show it 'over' the Manyoo game. They showed that game on a massive cine screen, along with most of the telly screens.

Part of the reason I left at HT was cos I simply couldn't see the Norwich game - but I had a great view of the Utd game on any number of screens.)

No offence meant to Declan though. I did wonder if he was chucked a few quid to advertise it, but he obviously wasn't. Rather, it was the bar owners who bulls**tted - or alternatively, just didn't bother tellng their staff what they'd committed to.

In that sense, I don't really see why they should make lots more money out of the scum game (which will be on at a lot of other pubs).

But you are right - the way I could be sure of seeing games would be to go to them.
