DVD player

Hi

I have a dvd player that i connect to my new 32" lcd tv using the normal rgb scart cable.

The dvd player also has component cable output - does anyone know if it would provide a better picture? Would need to buy the 5 coloured cable 1st you see, but would appreciate some advice.
