Man City & Buffon

I'm sorry but that is stupid and typical of wealthy owners putting names first and footballing substance second.

They have Joe Hart, prime candidate for next England keeper and one of the best goalkeeping prospects in and for England for decades.

How is he going to feel about this? And he's just signed a new contract with them!

Are they going to treat Hart like Man Utd have Ben Foster, another potential England keeper who just gets the odd game when he could be a regular for them, let alone anyone else. Perhaps Man City will loan him out for a few seasons, a'la Foster, whilst they sell season tickets and shirts on the back of Buffon for the same time?

What it does tell me is that, if this is their policy (big names all round) then Ched and Daniel Sturridge for that matter, may well find themselves excess goods as well.
