to the current spec she has got? Main driver for getting this is to get over the hanging problems (ages for booting up Outlook for example). If it is not going to be considerably quicker then it might be worth spending a bit more?

I suppose the bonus is, if I order over t'internet I have that 14 day returns distance selling thing to cover me, so if I test drive it and find its not up to scratch, i can send it back...
