I just don't get booing. At all. I have just spoken to a 'boo-er'

And I couldn't get a logical argument out of him as to what it could possibly achieve.

"I'm just letting the team know it's not good enough." Erm, don't you think they know that?

"If I do it, it will make them pull their finger out" Erm, no it won't - if you are criticized by your boss, (let alone by 4,000 people), in the heat of the moment, feelings are running high, and you will freeze. You dont have time to logically process the 'feedback' and grow from it. You freeze. Freeze on the pitch - you lose the game.
