I'm not even sure that it matters now

You all know how I felt when we appointed him; and you have to think his arrogance has something to do with where we find ourselves in the table. But it was either him or Martin Allen - and much as I like Mad Dog, I'm unconvinced he could've done what Roeder managed. And it was only him or Allen in the first place because, with our budget, that's as good as we could do - now, it's even lower.

So who could we get who'd be any better? Would it be fair to expect them to keep us up, when it's more obvious than ever where the real problem lies? There's a smell of death about this club at the moment, and we're in limbo unless or until new investors are found. Until then, I think we've just got to stick with it, while making our thoughts about the board's role in this abundantly clear.
