Reading below some of the comments slagging him off as not having achieved much and just staying at crewe cos of the money he's on, I just thought i would post my thoughts on the man.

Before he went to crewe they were in the fourth division. In fact in the five previous seasons before he came their average postion was 22nd. If there had been relegation the way there is now, they would have been relegated 4 years out of the five to the conference.

In the last 100 years crewe had never been in the 2nd flight of english football. However they have now spent 8 of the last 9 years in this very division.

All this has been done on gates of around 6 or 7000 and with no money to spend.

He has also done this by playing football and never slagging others off in the press. He has brought along a number of players who have gone on to other bigger clubs. And yes he does take a cut of what they make, but imho he is worth every penny.

However he is s**t and never achieved anything eh steve, clare.
