It's a sad truth that the fact that Andrew Sachs is regarded as a national treasure

probably HAS motivated a lot of the complaints. Which I think is wrong; phoning up someone in their late 70s to make jokes about having f**ked their grand-daughter so that you can broadcast the tape is a tasteless, crude, and hurtful thing to do whether the victim is well know or just a bloke off the street
