Upgrading the RAM is probably quite easy but I would check the manual and then decide whether you want to do it yourself.

I don't use ZoneAlarm as I prefer to sail the internet with my pants down and arse clearly on display. Also the Windows firewall will probably suffice to block most external threats. ZoneAlarm is good for the paranoid people out there who want to do everything they can to block both external and internal connections.
