FAO Ben or anyone else who's not a complete computer numpty like me.

A couple of things I could do with some advice on:

1. I just bought a new laptop from ebuyer.com seemed a reasonable deal. I have just found out when installing broadband, that the 256MB RAM it was described and sold to me as having, actually turns out to be 192MB RAM (odd amount I know). I take it they are taking advantage of my better nature and I should demand new goods. Also the 60gb hard drive turns out to be 57gb but i guess thats not so much of an issue?

2. My mate put ZoneAlarm on my comp for me. Most helpful I know, but I don't really have a clue how to use it. Initially my new broadband connection wouldn't allow internet explorer to show any pages unless I moved my Internet Zone Security setting from high to medium, is this ok?

Like I say I am a total numpty with things like this, but I want to try and look after this computer because I always seem to bugger them up.
