Fancy Fucking Dress

I hate Fancy Dress Parties, yet Mrs Yarmy says I am obliged to participate in the "fun".
So suggestions please. The two criteria are:

1. I don't want to spend a lot of money.
2. I want minimal embarrassment.

In other words cheap and clever.
