The more I think about it, the more I miss the first squad he built...

...none of them a star name (bar Huckerby I suppose) and yet every single one of them had at least one song in their honour.

The reason? They were ours, none of them were particularly special but together they worked, and they had a team spirit that we've lacked since promotion in all honesty. Malky and Iwan probably wouldn't have got many (if any) games in the Premiership but their contribution to the dressing room must have been immense given the lack of fight we've shown on the pitch since they're departure.

That's all fans want really, a team that appears to care about their performances. Whilst we don't like losing, it's a little easier to take if the team have had a go.
