Of course, but why run to the media (which is essentially what they've done)

The msut have know that the questions would be picked up on, not forgetting they informed various media sources of their intentions BEFORE raising the questions.

To find out they could have
a) Rang the clubs
b)rang the FA
c) Spoke to the minsiter for Sport IN PRIVATE.

There was no need what so ever, to do this publicly, other than to get themselves in the spotlight.
